Kim Kardashian West for president?
Offset is giving
the beauty and entertainment mogul his endorsement for president of the
United States. The Migos rapper, who’s currently on tour with Drake,
says Kardashian would get his vote based on her activism for criminal
justice reform.
“Hell yeah, I fuck with that shit. I’ve been through that shit,” Offset told TMZ when asked about Kim’s advocacy work. “To be able to have a second chance? That’s one hunnid.”
“Kim
for president, man,” he continued. “She deserve to be president. Ain’t
no other president doin’ that shit … And she helpin’ black folks, so I
fuck with that 10,000 times hard.”
Offset is currently facing two felony gun charges after he and his bodyguard were arrested in Georgia following an improper lane change. The 26-year-old is on probation for a 2015 arrest on drugs and weapons charges.
Kim has already shown her political influence by lobbying for the release of 63-year-old Alice Marie Johnson, whose sentence for cocaine distribution and money laundering was commuted by President Trump after spending 23 years in federal prison.
Kardashian was back at the White House on Wednesday (Sept. 5) to seek a pardon for Chris Young, who was sentenced to life in prison in 2014 for marijuana and cocaine possession.
While Kim currently has no plans to run for president, she hasn’t ruled it out entirely. “I guess never say never. But that’s not going to be like, ‘Kim’s running,'” the reality star told CNN’s Van Jones. “That’s not where I am.”
Her husband Kanye West has also expressed his desire to run for the White House in 2024. “If I decide to do it, it will be done. I’m not gonna try,” West said during a recent interview with Power 92 Chicago’s DJ Pharris. “Yes, 100 percent it could happen… 2024.”
